The Lens announces a new major grant from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation to scale its work on innovation cartography. Over a decade ago, the Moore Foundation took a gamble and invested in The Lens' vision to accelerate innovation by linking enterprise activity with academic research on an open platform accessible to everyone. Now, they're funding us again, this time to go to scale and grow as a sustainable public benefit project.
With their help, and that of our many hundreds of supportive licensees, and our collaborators, including Springer Nature Group, we are creating Open In4M and the definitive open global platform where *all* the world's innovative people, institutions, enterprises and governments can collectively create domain maps of Science- and Technology-Enabled Problem Solving #STEPS to inform, inspire and incentivize rapid interventions for society and the planet. Our survival depends on it.
Bravo and thanks to Janet Coffey and the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, and the the incredible Lens.org team, including Deniz Koellhofer, Kenny Williams, Annie Connell, Roshan Sharma, Aaron Ballagh, Mark Garlinghouse, Simon Lang, Bernie Schelberg, Anjana Rijal, Chidananda B G and welcoming William Rapert.
